VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA – 5th MAY, 2020 – CEO of Chocolife, Virgínia (Vica) Dias, decided at 14 years old that she would one day begin a small artisanal chocolate business. At age 17, Vica realised that there was a need for healthier chocolate that consumers could feel comfortable eating without putting their health at risk. After studying Food Engineering and working in the chocolate industry to learn her craft, she launched Chocolife in 2006 – Brazil’s first health chocolate company.
Since 2006, Chocolife has brought many innovations to the Brazilian market – including five newly certified FODMAP Friendly products. Her goal is to create products that Brazilian people with IBS can consume without experiencing discomfort.
Chocolife combine this high-quality Amazonian cocoa with babassu mesocarp flour to produce a tasty line of chocolates. Babassu is a small coconut used to produce oil and flour. The flour is produced from the mesocarp (middle layer) of the coconut. This combination makes the chocolates high in antioxidants.
The five flavours include Pure Cocoa, Brazil Nuts and Açai, Baru Nuts and Camu Camu, Coconut Chips and Cupuaçu, and Coconut Chips and Cupuaçu. Each flavor has their own “Superfood” antioxidant containing ingredients which give this range its “Superfood” name.
