CLEVELAND, OHIO – May 12, 2020 – Suicide is the leading cause of death for Ohio children aged 10-14, and the second leading cause of death for those 15-34 years of age.
“It doesn’t have to be this way. We can increase access to mental health care for children – without them even needing to leave school. Mental Health Month is a great time to have those conversations,” said Ken Fanger, CCO of H-Solv, a company committed to helping children get access to the care they need, when they need it.
To take their signature telehealth station, SafeScreen@, to the next level of care, H-Solv is working with AT&T to use their world-class 5G network to further enhance the functionality of the SafeScreen@ stations.
“Our most vulnerable youth need to be able to access mental health services on demand when dealing with trauma, depression, grief, or anxiety. Safescreen@ provides a gateway to delivering quality and timely mental health services for youth,” said Angela Flowers, a licensed social worker with Making A Difference Consulting, which contracts services with schools and districts in Northeast Ohio.
As we rethink education, we must also rethink the service delivery of social and emotional learning opportunities for all youth. AT&T’s 5G network will provide lightning fast, reliable connectivity, allowing children to experience counseling care in real time and in high definition, resulting in a better care experience.
“Developing mental wellness and positive coping skills is essential for helping children grow into healthy and productive adults,” said Flowers.
