ShyMony an independent artist from Bronx, NY. Shy grew his love for music at an early age as he would watch old tapes of “The Soul Train” tv show since his 2nd cousin Don Cornelius was the host. Therefore, some may say music is in his blood. Growing up in nothing more than poverty in the South Bronx and sometimes living in shelter homes. Shy found great happiness and joy when visiting his grandmother on the weekends who is also his role model since she would get him out the hood to show him that NYC has more to offer than shootouts and gang activities.
Starting at a young age he learn how to appreciate every opportunity that life bring because you never now when it’s your last. ShyMoney is very versatile when it comes to his music from doing songs with an uptempo dancehall vibe to Drill music. He is a unique one of a kind artist who plans on having a positive impact in the music game.
As the days start to blend together and time reaches a sort of standstill, it always feels like a win whenever we are able to find a song that fits this specific daze we’ve been personally in and we’re sure a lot of other people are feeling the same given the state of the world right now. So, stumbling on ShyMoney easygoing and hazy new release “Ben & Jerry” in my inbox has been one of the highlights of our day so far.
The song itself gets a pick-me-up once the drums kick in, adding another layer of light bounce over the electronic keys and other synths that reverberate softly throughout. The artist then gets into his own flow over this beat that’s both catchy and endearing in its lyricism. ShyMoney ear for songwriting and entrancing melodies create a cohesive mood that’s relaxed and unhurried—a moment that begs to last just a bit longer.
