Scranton, PA – On Wednesday, May 13, Marion Munley of the Pennsylvania personal injury firm Munley Law hosted an online seminar for members of the American Association for Justice Women Trial Lawyers Caucus (WTLC). The subject of the event was: “How to bring defense to the table in the era of no jury trials?”
As the coronavirus has brought life to a halt in many ways, jury trials have been delayed or postponed for the time being. As former chair of the WTLC, Attorney Munley led the discussion on how lawyers can continue to pursue justice for their clients in the midst of these uncertain times. “The pursuit of justice does not stop during a pandemic. In the interest of safety, we have had to adjust our operations and devise new strategies, but we keep moving forward,” Attorney Munley said.
Widely recognized as one of the most prominent and widely respected lawyers in the state, Marion is Triple Board Certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in Civil Trial, Civil Practice, and Truck Law. Marion has earned an AV-Preeminent designation from Martindale-Hubbell, the industry’s highest ethical and client satisfaction rating.
A leader in the legal community, Marion is an active member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and currently serves on the AAJ Board of Governors. She was the first woman to become Chair of the AAJ Trucking Litigation Group in 2018 and is a past chair of the AAJ Women Trial Lawyers Caucus. Marion is the second woman in Pennsylvania to become Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Among her other professional affiliations are the American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Society of Barristers.
