July 14, 2020 – Sam Haskell has founded a scholarship which is meant to support rising college students as well as current undergraduates and graduate students. This $1,000 scholarship will help to defray the cost of higher education and reduce student debt.
Haskell believes that all students deserve to participate in higher education. Understanding the financial pressure on today’s college students motivated Haskell to endow the scholarship.
Sam Haskell has achieved success as an Emmy-nominated producer and founder of Magnolia Hill Productions. In the past, he was the Worldwide Head of Television at the William Morris Agency. Haskell has been a lifelong patron of higher education and has helped many young people achieve their goals.
In order to apply for the scholarship, students must write a 500-word essay and submit it with their application. The topic of the essay is “What early life experience has most contributed to who you are today, and how will that help you succeed in higher education?” This topic encourages students to reflect on their educational experiences and their personal qualifications for attending an institute of higher education.
The selected winner must also provide proof of enrollment in a college or university or an acceptance letter in case of a senior in high school.
Sam Haskell understands the importance of higher learning, and he wants to encourage all students to reach for their dreams. Through applying for scholarships, students are able to reduce their debt burden and help them succeed well into their adult lives. The Sam Haskell Scholarship will help one deserving student reduce the costs of higher education.
