Dr.Prabhjot Gill is no stranger to the ongoing pandemic and the complete shift it has brought to everyday life. Being a regular in his duties as front line NHS Doctor in London University hospitals, the doctor has seen hundreds of suspected and positive cases during the peak of this pandemic, and is still currently seeing them.
Recently, the London-based Portfolio General Practitioner got featured in two leading platforms online for his expert advice on keeping healthy and staying positive during the time of the pandemic. The two articles can be found on Thrive Global and Kivo Daily, respectively.
Furthermore, the doctor has also been very active elsewhere having launched a YouTube channel by the name of Nova Health. The channel is geared towards helping the communities especially the ones who are in need of accurate and up to date medical information.
According to Dr. Gill himself, “I’m a firm believer that when it comes to treating patients, we should treat them holistically and not just their individual symptoms.” He further adds, “This is the reason why I’m always doing all I can to make my patients feel comfortable and relaxed, and that is my priority. The most important thing is to provide the patients the care they need and deserve.”
Needless to say, serving as a front line Urgent Care Doctor during the pandemic, the duties at work have been tough for Dr. Prabhjot Gill. Taking precautions after coming home so that wife and kids can be prevented is a complex task, according to the doctor. “Normally I enter the house from our side access and go straight into the utility room to change and put my work clothes in a separate box which gets washed separately. And then only am I able to hug or cuddle with my kids after I’ve taken a shower. That is my daily routine so I can keep my family safe and avoid exposure!”
