In collaboration with the Urgent Care Association (UCA), UptimeHealth will provide UCA accredited or certified members with free compliance software in a joint effort to advance the urgent care industry and improve the quality of patient care. By taking advantage of UptimeHealth’s software, urgent care centers will be able create operational efficiencies to help them achieve and maintain standards set by the UCA.
When you see the UCA Accreditation logo it means patients can rely on the care and services being delivered, as these centers have received dual Certification and Accreditation through the Urgent Care Association, an industry authority for ensuring the safe delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. UCA Certification covers the scope of services, so centers earning this designation have met nationally standardized criteria that can include accepting walk-ins, being open 7 days a week, having onsite X-ray and labs, among other requirements. UCA Accreditation includes the scope of service requirements covered by Certification, as well as additional standards of patient safety and quality.
“When UptimeHealth approached us about supporting those organizations who’ve achieved UCA Accreditation or Certification with this free benefit, we were intrigued. The key to accreditation is maintaining those standards established by their peers within the industry. Facilitating ongoing compliance can only improve the quality of services provided.” – Lou Ellen Horwitz, Chief Executive Officer of UCA.
As part of the UCA Accreditation process, an onsite survey is conducted where safety and quality measures are reviewed such as patient care process, physical environment, quality improvement, health record management, human resources, patient privacy, and more. UptimeHealth’s software supports urgent cares throughout the survey preparation process and beyond. Their tool allows users to:
- Build digital checklist and assign them to users and teams;
- Complete tasks on computers and mobile devices;
- Monitor and review the task completion through dashboards; and
- Document, time-stamp, and store all completed checklists.
As health care providers prepare for more COVID-19 cases, staff managers can automatically generate new daily tasks and protocols and deploy them system-wide.
“When COVID-19 broke out we wanted to help urgent care centers with respect to implementing new processes, protocols, and quality control practices. That’s why we became the first UCA vendor member to offer our compliance software for free during COVID-19 to support their operations. Immediately, our software was well received by users. After a month, we started to work with the UCA to offer the software free forever to all UCA certified and accredited urgent care centers.” – Bill Dunne, CoFounder and Chief Revenue Officer of UptimeHealth.
