When it comes to music, there is nothing more refreshing than upbeat and cheerful songs. And, Robert Starks is a master at producing such creations through unique and creative combinations. Today, he is one of the most loved artists in America. However, the journey began way back.
Robert’s journey in music started off as a 5-year old kid in his grandparent’s home fidgeting around with an old pump organ. As his interest in music kept growing, Robert’s grandparents gifted him a brand new pump organ. That is when his endeavour to learn music grew massively. Robert moved in with his father, who then sent him to a piano-vocal training coach. Later on, during his stint at the Los Angeles City College, he also learnt songwriting, song construction, composition, etc. Hence, it is fair to say that Robert Starks has had holistic and all-round music training all throughout his growing years. And no wonder, that has paid off.
Today, Robert is a member of the Professional Musician Percussionists Collovoce Showmanship. Apart from that, his innovative creations appeal to music lovers all across the world. He combines live instruments such as Conga drums and electronic piano to execute original production and song. A few among his most successful and loved songs are “Text mee baby, Never Enough and Long time no see pt.2. All of these have a very upbeat rhythm and cheerful tone, one of the reasons why they have gone on to become globally appreciated.
‘Through years of professional experience as a musician, my sheer passion for this art has kept me going. But if you ask what inspires me, then it probably is the resilience that I have fortunately had through all the tough times. Apart from that, my learnings about music since childhood has helped me all throughout the journey.’ – Robert Starks
