What lights the beauty of art, can also destroy it.

Protecting your investment in art and luxury items by reducing light damage

Elche, Spain – June 4, 2015 – That is why Domoticware, a product engineering company based in Spain, has created the patent-pending smart glass conservation system for light-sensitive art and fragile luxury objects.

In order to bring this innovation to market, Domoticware has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise €50,000 by July 2, 2015.

Domoticware’s products reduce restoration costs for art, replace UV filters and cumbersome window blinds in galleries, and reduce the risk of accidents due to object rotation. But most importantly, they increase the lifetime of the object.

This is all possible because the patented closed-loop system limits the amount of light entering the conservation case by activating the smart glass into a transparent state only when presence is detected. When no-one is present, the object sits in complete darkness.

The system also calculates the light exposure incident on the object to ensure it remains within the internationally recommended figures from the CIE (International Lighting Commission).

Domoticware’s intelligent conservation systems count the number of seconds the object is being viewed, producing a index of popularity.

This and more information such as humidity, temperature, and light fluctuations are sent to Google Analytics, allowing this data to viewed.  The system flags excursions above or below specific limits, ensuring the protection of art or luxury pieces of economic, cultural or artistic importance.

To help Domoticware launch these conservation systems, please visit the Kickstarter campaign or click here. Rewards will be delivered between Sept 2015 and Sept of 2016.

Please keep in mind this is an “all-or-nothing” deal, which means if the campaign does not reach the fund goal then the project cannot move forward.

Help Domoticware reach the goal by sharing this on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. The more people know about this the more support the campaign will receive.
