An Eoc is an Emergency Operations Center this is where one goes when disaster has stricken and they need reserves, information, help in an emergency or someone to relay information when all else fails, and or they want to prepare for such an one disaster and need guidance.

Emergency Operations Center is a central command and control facility responsible for carrying out the principles of emergency preparedness and emergency management, or disaster management functions at a strategic level in an emergency situation, and ensuring the continuity of operation of a company, political subdivision or other organization. (Source: Wikipedia) An EOC building was originally created as part of the United States Civil defense, and can be seen everywhere.

Having an EOC building is essential in the preparedness and awareness of a natural disaster. The people who is staffed is the make up the body of an EOC building. This is the most crucial part in having an EOC building. The people involved with the EOC have to be properly trained and have the authority to carry out actions. Training these individuals can saves life and to prepare them to be mentally and physically ready.

The second most important thing is communication. EOC is structured to be the command post of many other command posts. When disaster strikes it is up to the EOC and its communication system to be functioning right.

Research where your nearest EOC building is located or call your local city hall to point you to the right direction.
