Writer/director Aaron Cartwright is set to create a stunning piece of filmmaking that will expose viewers to gut-wrenching violence that is all the more shocking for its realism in his new horror short film Sinner.

Building on the international success of his previous horror short Alistair, Aaron has produced a visceral and bloody screenplay masterpiece in Sinner that has already earned international acclaim including finalist honors at the Los Angeles Shriekfest Horror Film Festival.

Unlike so many horror films that attempt to frighten audiences with supernatural themes, Sinner is a chilling exploration of the dark depths that normal humans can descend into when overwhelmed with greed, lust and revenge.

The film centers on the relationships between drug kingpin Steve, his wife Carol and Mark, Steve’s top lieutenant and Carol’s lover. As these three spiral down into anguish, rage and retribution, viewers will have a front row view of the shocking violence people are capable of.

Sinner will soon begin filming in Australia and bring together the talents of filmmaking veterans. The cast include celebrated international actors Andy McPhee, Jai Koutrae, and Holly Myers who have appeared in A-list projects like Sons of Anarchy, Wolf Creek, Animal Kingdom, Terminus, and Hear No Evil. The film is written and directed by Aaron Cartwright, produced by Mark Evans and shot by Chris Herzfeld.

With such an outstanding cast and crew, Sinner will almost certainly live up to expectations as a must-see horror classic. But it will require the financial support of the public to complete production. The Sinner team have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Pozible to raise the AU$50,000 needed for five days of filming, cast and crew salaries and post production. In return for their generous contributions, backers can receive valuable perks like posters, caps, T-shirts, screen credits, production stills, cast party and premiere invites, Associate Producer credits along with an exclusive walk on role.
