Ticket Down has rolled back ticket prices across the board for UFC 189 which features Jose Aldo vs. Conor McGregor for the Featherweight Title. This well known ticket site is offering their customer appreciation promo/coupon code CHEAP for added savings.

It has been quite some time since a mixed martial arts event has been met with this much hype of media coverage than the upcoming UFC 189 card. The event, which will take place on July 11th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena, will feature the main event of Jose Aldo vs. Conor McGregor for the UFC featherweight title and the co-main event of Robbie Lawler vs. Rory MacDonald for the UFC welterweight title.

Earlier this year, Aldo and McGregor traveled the world on a massive media tour that featured plenty of smack talk from the Irish challenger and plenty of confident rebuttals from the Brazilian champion. Aldo has been the only champion the UFC featherweight division has ever known. Since being awarded the world title after the UFC absorbed the contracts of fighters from World Extreme Cagefighting, Aldo has won seven straight and 18 straight overall dating back to 2005. Throughout his career, Aldo has shown why he is one of the top pound for pound fighters in the world, but will face his biggest test when he steps inside the Octagon against McGregor.

McGregor is coming into this fight with a 17-2 career record including wins in his first five UFC fights and wins in 13 straight fights dating back to 2010. McGregor didn’t enter the UFC with much fan fare but has quickly become one of the most popular fighters in the sport. In his UFC career, he has earned TKO wins against Marcus Brimage, Diego Brandao, Dustin Poirier, and most recently, Dennis Siver. Whether or not he can finish Aldo will determine who walks out of the MGM Grand Garden Arena with all the gold.

The current UFC welterweight champion is Lawler, who has revitalized his career since returning to the UFC after having his contract absorbed from Strikeforce. Since his return to the world’s biggest MMA company, Lawler has gone 6-1 with a split decision win against Johny Hendricks last December to win the world title. He has now won three straight since losing a unanimous decision to Hendricks in March 2014. One of his wins since returning to the Octagon came against his opponent at UFC 189 which was another split decision win.

MacDonald will look to return the favor to Lawler by beating him in two months and will look to win the world title in the process. He has a 9-2 record inside the Octagon with Carlos Condit being the only other fighter to beat him. The Canadian fighter is just 25, but has the skills to win the title at UFC 189.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena is a 16,800 seat venue located in the heart of Las Vegas, NV. The venue has become the unofficial headquarters of combat sports in the United States and most recently was the site of the lackluster boxing super fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. The venue originally opened its doors in 1993 and will not have a single empty seat when the two world titles are decided on July 11.
