Curve Runner Exceeds Kickstarter Goal For a New Low-Tech Rolling Ruler

Plano, TX – On June 3 2015, Claire Cochran launched a Kickstarter campaign for Curve Runner, a low-tech rolling ruler for measuring any line, particularly curves.

“Curve Runner is our first product that we have launched through a crowdfunding platform.  The overwhelming response leads us to believe we made the right choice,” the creator says, “The tool, itself in its simplistic nature solves a problem in many industries.  We are learning of new category uses from our backers and supporters.”

The Curve Runner comes in four versions. The Curve Runner in inches features an 8 or 12 inch circumference wheel with measurements to the 16th of an inch. The Metric Curve Runner has a 20 or 30cm circumference wheel with measurements to the millimeter. The Curve Runner has plenty of uses from arts and crafts, sewing, woodworking, educational, and many more.

All of the rulers have an ergonomic handle with a comfortable place for your finger. The handle is made from 1/8th inch thick acrylic and the wheel with .060 acrylic.

“We are nearly ready for production. The artwork has been finalized and we are ready to move forward with the next steps,” Cochran explains, “Our goal is to be able to complete a minimum order with the manufacturer as soon as possible!”

In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including one inch or metric Curve Runner for $20, two Curve Runners for $35 and all four  for $65. Backers can also pledge $140 for the teacher/retail package, which includes 10 Curve Runners.
