On July 14, 2015, the Kuwait-American Foundation, in partnership with the National Campaign to Stop Violence will host the “Do the Write Thing” Recognition Dinner. This even will be at the Ronald Regan Building Atrium in Washington, D.C.
Each year, this event recognizes middle school students from across the United States who has participated in the Do The Write Thing Challenge. In the Challenge they students write compelling stories of hope, no matter what their situations.
This year, award-winning actor Common will serve as the Keynote speaker, The Lead Singer of Imagine Dragons Dan Reynolds will deliver special remarks and the Harlem Globetrotters will make a special presentation to the “Do the Write Thing”, National Student Ambassadors.
This year, Do the Write Thing has had several partnerships during it’s last 20 years. The Challenge has given 1.5 million students a voice.
The Kuwait-American Foundation is a 501 C3 organization whose core mission is to focus its resources on the cultural exchange programs for youth.
