Prominent reflexologist Judit Thom has founded a new reflexology practice in the Chiswick area of outer West London. Ms Thom has been a qualified reflexologist for seven years and has an ITEC Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology, an ITEC Diploma in Reflexology, and an ITEC Diploma in Indian Head Massage.

In addition to this new private practice, Ms Thom also works as a volunteer Reflexologist at The Mulberry Centre, which is located at the West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth and provides support to people who have been affected by cancer.

Ms Thom’s forte and her new practice’s primary service will be maternity reflexology, a highly specialist field in which reflexology is used to support pregnant women.

This mainly involves promoting good blood circulation throughout the body so that oxygen and essential nutrients reach the developing baby. It can also be used to treat a number of conditions that can occur during a woman’s pregnancy such as backache, leg cramps, nausea, fatigue, constipation, headaches, insomnia and high or low blood pressure.

It can even be used to naturally induce labour in a pregnant woman by stimulating the body’s production of oxytocin; the hormone a woman’s body needs in abundance for her to go into labour. This can be done after thirty-eight weeks of pregnancy and is an extremely popular alternative for women who wish to induce their labour without the risk associated with doing so through unnatural means.

Another of the practice’s main services will be the Indian Head Massage, which is a seated massage performed through clothes to the head, upper back, shoulders, arms and neck. Its purpose is to alleviate tension and headaches and improve circulation to the head, scalp and brain. It has been known to be especially helpful to people who do a lot of computer use, deskwork, or driving.

The practice offers flexible treatment packages. It provides these services and other types of reflexology either individually or together for patients who have need of more than one service.

The practice will operate a strict patient confidentiality policy. Any and all information regarding patients, their physiological or mental health issues, and the treatments given to them will never be shared with any third parties under any circumstances.

The practice is now accepting appointment bookings. Payment can be made via debit card, credit card, cash or cheque.
