MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota – July 8, 2015 – Author and educator Michael MacBride is working on a new novel that explores the interesting way society looks at children. It is called, “Bidding Wars” and it takes place in the near future. In this future, shares of children become a commodity that can be invested in. Investors buy shares betting on the success of children, and so directly invest in the future of those children. However, you can also “short” these shares—betting on the child to fail.
This book follows two clerks, one who is investing in an orphaned girl and the other who is betting on her to fail. “Bidding Wars,” takes an in-depth look on this rivalry and how it impacts the girl or the stock. However, before this book can come to market, Michael needs help. That’s why he started this Kickstarter. The goal of this project is to raise $25,000 by August 28, 2015, and the funds raised will go toward the completing, editing, and publishing.
To help bring this novel to life, please visit the Kickstarter campaign or click here. Perks will be delivered by July 2016.
Please keep in mind this is an “all-or-nothing” deal, which means if the campaign does not reach the funding goal then the project cannot move forward. o know that any amount given can make a difference and this is an incredible opportunity to be a part of a special campaign! Help “Bidding Wars” reach the goal by sharing this on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. The more people know about this the more support the campaign will receive.
