Thales USA is known as an industry leader in providing both air traffic control and in-flight entertainment systems and solutions.

July 9, 2015 – Boca Raton, FL – Alan Pellegrini, President & CEO of Thales USA, begins his interview with, “Our company is helping airlines move into a new era with innovative and compelling connectivity and performance. Our products touch more than 1 million passengers a day while providing entertainment and productivity options with our In-Flight Entertainment systems.” Tune in to watch the Thales segment airing on Bloomberg Television as sponsored programming on July 11, 2015 at 6:30pm ET. Pellegrini notes, “Today, airlines have to make two key decisions. First, they have to decide if they desire to be an optimum service provider to meet either global or regional requirements. Secondly, they must decide if that service is offered free or as a premium service that provides additional revenue.”

Following up on that point, Pellegrini adds, “While Thales is actively shaping the airline industry and passenger experience, we actually have a major presence in five market segments, including defense, security, aerospace, space and ground transportation.”

Headquartered in Paris, France, Thales employs more than 61,000 people globally and is the industry leader in air traffic management. This means more than 40 percent of the air traffic in the world is managed by Thales air traffic control centers. The company is also number 1 in Europe (Number 3 worldwide) in Avionics and is second in providing in-flight connectivity and entertainment.

In addition to a portfolio of 13,000 patents and an annual budget of $3.4 billion in R&D, Thales recently purchased LiveTV from JetBlue in 2014. This move significantly enhances Thales connectivity and offerings.

Concluding, Pellegrini comments, “We work with best-of-class partners to provide one-stop shopping for airlines. We help airlines to choose innovative, safe, and comprehensive solutions to passenger needs and expectations for IFE, and then we implement and maintain those systems.”

JL Haber, Corporate Review’s Vice President of Programming, observes, “Thales USA is a major part of one of the major global players in avionics and other fields. We are excited to introduce this successful and innovative company to our viewers.”
