From 18 June 2015, another new member was added to S-series. It was S5. It is half a year since Airwheel released S-series last year and rolled out electric self-balancing scooter S3 and S3T. Through half a year of research and development, Airwheel launched another S-series model, S5. S5 is an upgraded and refined version of S3 or S3T. It not only inherits some elements in design and technology, but also breaks through in other respects.
Unlike S3 and S3T, S5 has its own side-mounted fenders. It is very important selling points. Firstly, Airwheel aimed at create a personal SUV-level scooter via S5. Therefore, S5 is equipped with two larger tyres and a more powerful power. These parts make S5 able to conquer terrains of any conceivable kind. From now on, the rugged and craggy paths are no problem for S5. However, when one goes through these terrains, the incurred dust and water will be plashed on S5. To avoid this issue, Airwheel installs two side-mounted fenders and make sure the rider could have a clean and tidy riding experience.
Airwheel is always boasting its space-saving nature of electric scooter. For example, X-series and Q-series are very easy to carry. Both of the two series will take up much space. One even could put them into the boot of his private car. When it comes to S3 or S3T, however, Airwheel more or less feel scantly confident about its space-saving nature. The non-foldable shaft of S3 occupies a large room so that it can not be easily put into boot. It brings about a lot of troubles. In view of this, Airwheel refined S5 and made its shaft foldable. Now, the user can fold S5 and put it into the boot.
