Salt Lake City Therapist and Firefighter Husband write picture book series to remove stigma of mental health disorder

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah – August 10, 2015 – ‘What Mental Disorder?’ is a new mental health book series that was just announced. The negatives of a mental health diagnosis are clear and overwhelmingly emphasized, where the strengths are often ignored or forgotten.  This is a much-needed picture book series that explains a diagnosis in a balanced light. It is written in such a way that it is understandable for the person who is looking to gain mental health knowledge or is learning about their own mental state, along with mental health clinicians who want to remove the stigma from therapy and mental health disorders.

‘What Mental Disorder?’ shines a genuine and encouraging light on a generally somber subject. There are currently two books in the series, “Millie the Cat has Borderline Personality Disorder” and “Gordy the Rabbit has ADHD.” However, before this book series come to life, the author needs help. That’s why they launched this Kickstarter campaign. The goal of this project is to raise $5,000 by September 4, 2015, and the funds raised will go toward printing and production.

To help bring this innovative book series to market, please visit the Kickstarter campaign or click here. Perks will be delivered by October 2015.

Please keep in mind this is an “all-or-nothing” deal, which means if the campaign does not reach the funding goal then the project cannot move forward. So know that any amount given can make a difference, and this is an incredible opportunity to be a part of a special campaign! Help ‘What Mental Disorder?’ reach the goal by sharing this on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. The more people know about this, the more support the campaign will receive.
