An Exciting, New Graphic Novel About Stories from Around the World Announced

A graphic novel about local superheroes from a trip around the developing world

NEW YORK, New York – September 4, 2015 – An exciting, new graphic novel has just been announced by Mareen Klansek. This extraordinary novel will be a collection of stories that Mareen gathers on a seven-month volunteer journey with the organization, Thinking Beyond Borders. Mareen will be going to Ecuador, Peru, Thailand, Cambodia, India, and South Africa. This will culminate in a trip to Washington to present a report on major global issues to leading development organizations. While on this trip, she will be working with local organizations and communities to help solve problems of the environment, education, and public health.

Mareen will be staying with homestay families, to learn from the communities firsthand. Throughout this journey, she will collect stories from locals, about their lives, their views, their hopes and their futures and compile them in this powerful graphic novel. However, before this graphic novel can come to life, Mareen needs help. That’s why she launched this Kickstarter campaign. The goal of this project is to raise $3,000 by September 16, 2015. The funds raised will go towards traveling expenses and publishing the graphic novel.

To help bring this innovative novel to market, please visit the Kickstarter campaign or click here. Perks will be delivered by August 2016.

Please keep in mind this is an “all-or-nothing” deal, which means if the campaign does not reach the funding goal then the project cannot move forward. So know that any amount given can make a difference, and this is an incredible opportunity to be a part of a special campaign! Help Mareen Klansek reach the goal by sharing this on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. The more people know about this, the more support the campaign will receive.
