Forbes Magazine carried out a recent survey to find out the best cities for business and London ranked number one. There were a number of factors considered including the amount of foreign investment and the number of headquarters per capita. London is in fact home to 68 of the biggest companies on Forbes Global 2000 list.
The survey considered how many business niches there were and London came top in Europe for technology start-ups according to the Genome project who estimates that there are 3000 tech companies in London. Google also has a huge presence there with their second biggest office there. Only their office in Silicon Valley is bigger.
