LOS ANGELES, CA – 23 Sep, 2015 – Los Angeles native, iAmCompton is no stranger when it comes to leaving a lasting “impression”. The Roulette Media Records’ (RMR) signee and tattoo artist has left his mark on artists such as Diddy, Nas, Travis Scott and Taraji P. Henson to name a few. His latest project happens to be the West Coast, as today he announces the upcoming release of his debut project, “New COMP City”. The 10-track project, featuring production from The Buchanans (Nas, Beyonce, Jay-Z) and J B Minor will be released digitally on Friday, September 25th.
Raw, authentic and honest are a few words that come to mind when listening to New COMP City. Tracks such as “Fake” and “New Route” showcase the Young California emcee’s vulnerability and self-determination while the lead single – “Money To Spend”, sampling the late Eazy-E, highlights iAmCompton’s charismatic bravado. It’s this dichotomy that serves as the canvas behind iAmCompton’s musical inspiration. New COMP City plays out like a Westside story of pain and beauty growing up on the tough streets of Compton.
“New COMP City is the untold story of the streets where I’m from,” says iAmCompton. “You didn’t have a lot of options growing up and it was easy to get involved with the wrong crowd but Compton made me who I am today. I’m not a product of my environment but I’m able to use my environment as my product and as a platform to share my story.”

The West Coast emcee recently toured with Rich Homie Quan in Canada and released their hit single, “Turn It Up”. In addition, catch iAmCompton hitting the stage as he has officially joined the lineup for the “How The West Was Won” concert with The Game, Schoolboy Q and E-40. The show will take place at the Shoreline Amphitheatre.
