Sponsored by Environmental Working Group (EWG), the gala served to raise money to help create healthier homes and educate parents on how to help children avoid toxic chemicals in foods and everyday products.
Founders, James and Nancy Chuda, have been hosting this gala for over 20 years, and it’s just as important now as ever. They seek to change the harmful products parents buy, and to advocate legislation that regulates what goes into the country’s products.
The event was attended by many celebrities, including NCIS star, Michael Weatherly, Chicago P.D. actress Sydney Tamiia Poitier, The Lion king director and producer, Rob Minkoff, Pediatrician, Harvey Karp, President of EWG, Ken Cook, environmental activist and speaker, Laura Turning Seydel, CNN reporter, Wendy Walsh, radio host and author, Sam Ettus, and many more.
Kids in the House reporter, 7-year-old Teal Greene covered red carpet.
“Because we founded HCHW,” says founder Nancy Chuda, “you and all your friends are going to be very safe from toxins in the environment!”
Kids in the House CEO Leana Greene said that “The evening was a huge success and helps parents take action and prevent their children from harm. Everyone should support this important charity.”
