This faith-based recovery platform was created to help people struggling with addiction who have not found a path to recovery through the traditional twelve step program.
With so many different possible approaches to healing, the current medical and mental health climate can seem to suffer through offering too many choices.

With so many different therapies, medical platforms, approaches to healing and types of facilities which a person can choose from when looking for a place to recover from drug or alcohol addiction – it may be just too much. In seeking a great staff of highly educated, approachable and caring practitioners, it is not necessary to discard the current medical knowledge or the cognitive approach to escaping from addiction. In fact, at Seven Ponds, there is an opportunity to harness all of the above through the Narrow Gate Program.

This faith-based recovery platform was created to help people struggling with addiction who have not found a path to recovery through the traditional twelve step program. When individual coaching and private attempts to deal with addiction have not worked, a spiritual component may be the healing tool that’s been missing to finally put addiction in the past. The approach of the Seven Ponds Narrow Gate Program is very personal and intimate and highly focused on healing through spirit.

Through careful exploration of the history of each patient, the talented and credentialed staff are able to clarify external pressures and events that have harmed the patient’s view of the world, or of themselves. The impact of those events on the internal dialogue and imagery of the patient can be impactive and very hurtful.

The influence of spiritual guidance and pastoral direction can help the patient to put these life points into perspective, bringing a sense of relief to hurts that have been a part of life for many years. Exploring these very personal and very intense images and feelings in a beautiful, restful and safe part of the world, very much in the presence of God, the patient can feel assured of a connection to something larger than herself.

Normally, the Narrow Gate program lasts twenty to thirty days. Participants are guided through cognitive remodeling techniques that are based in spirit, focused toward finding the presence of God in everyday life. The beauty of the world around them, and within them, is made clear over and over during the program.

Therapists who are able to draw connections between the land and the patient are skilled at making sure every single person gets the most out of their time at Seven Ponds.
