MIAMI, Florida – October 20, 2015 – Nelson Dellis, a 4x USA Memory Champion and Alzheimer’s activist, has announced a Kickstarter campaign to fund publication of his latest children’s book project called “I Forgot Something (But I Can’t Remember What It Was).” It is a captivating tale about an elephant who forgets something and needs help from a wise owl to remember it, with the help of some ancient memory techniques. The purpose of the book is to teach children a simple, yet incredibly effective, memory technique. The story is written, developed, drawn, inked, colored, and bound by Nelson. The campaign has been well-received by the public, and has reached well over 200% of its goal. The Kickstarter is set to end November 11, 2015.
As a professional memorizer, Nelson has worked on this project for over six months to create a tool parents can use to teach their children simple, but effective memory techniques. The approaches illustrated in this charming book are similar to what Nelson teaches his students of all ages on how to memorize and improve their memory. The world-class memory techniques taught at an early age will help children tremendously as they grow into adolescence and adulthood.
Funds received from the campaign will be used to have the art pages professionally scanned at high quality and printing cost for the first set of copies. These copies will be distributed to the backers of the Kickstarter campaign.
