02 November, 2015 – SPAEFS LLC is pleased to announce the launch of their new app to the Apple app store. The app is Sling – College Life, released October, 16, 2015. As a social networking app, it offers the benefit of being completely anonymous so that classmates can share pictures and videos without the risk of security violations. After 24 hours, the upload disappears completely. New stories and images are constantly being added to the network.
Sling version 1.0 includes colleges throughout the United States, in addition to the app showcase features. The release of version 1.1 will happen soon. The upcoming 1.1 launch will add a hashtag system, explicit content filtering (for those who don’t care to see ‘offensive’ content), functions to make the app more user friendly, extensive bug fixes, as well as other features.
Version 1.2 is in the planning stage. It will add featured content, picture up-votes and down-votes, the ability to upload pictures from a photo library, and to save pictures taken in Sling to a photo library. The Android version of Sling is also under development at present.
The charity system is also an important feature of SPAEFS’ app, Sling. A spokesperson explained, “We identify a new student-founded charity each month and donate a portion of our ad revenues to said charity. We see it as a way for students to give back by doing what they do best… sharing pictures with each other.”
The app requires iOS 7 or later. Version 1.0 is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and is 4.4 MB.
