The traditional light switch is proposed to receive a major facelift with the launch of Tern Touch, is an incredible light switch that is controlled directly from an authorized smart phone, featuring a sleek customizable a glass panel light switch suitable for any home, limited by the user’s imagination. The Tern Touch project in currently in need of funding to cover the manufacturing and various other expenses to get the product ready for retailing, a crowdfunding campaign has been launched on Indiegogo with a funding goal of at least $30,000 to be raised within the next 23 days.

The Tern Touch Light Switch will enable users to first design their own switch by choosing from a pre-determined selection of styles or buyers can choose to design the look of the switch entirely from beginning to end, this unique feature will allow buyer to design and match their Tern Touch Light Switch to their specific needs. The look of the switch can be changed by simply ordering another glass panel and a simply swapping them over.

Cezary Baka, a software developer and one of the developers of Tern Touch said: “The Tern Touch is an elegant touch light switch that is equipped with a WIFI system to enable you to control the switch from your phone. With a front face plate made from tempered, sanded crystal glass, the LED lighting in the switch creates a unique atmosphere that further emphasizes the elegant appearance of this product.”

Cezary Baka alongside his other team member Piotr Karma?ski shares a keen interest in technology and enjoys creating home automation systems as a hobby. The duo during the development of the Term Touch surveyed and analyzed many different light switches and dimmers to create an elegant and efficient product that suits the needs of today’s homeowners. The team came up with a solution that allows users to manage their Tern Touch switch remotely through switch’s built-in WiFi system and their smartphone, PC, or tablets. The switch can also be operated like a normal light switch through is on/off button. The switches have been created to suit the needs of EU and US users and will be delivered to both regions after completion.  

The two component of the device have been developed to be easy to install and requires a few simple steps to be up and running, even for people who do not consider themselves to be tech savvy.

The prototypes of the have been created and tested and the finalized design is ready for manufacturing. The ongoing crowdfunding campaign looking towards the generosity of the online crowd who are enjoy unique and creatively designed home solution that match the needs of today’s users. The funds raised through the current crowdfunding campaign will be allocated to various aspects necessary for the completion of the product for customer use.
