November 18, 2015 – New York, NY – New York Tour1 will continue offering its Statue of Liberty tours with the Hard Hat Ellis Island Tour option in 2016. The Hard Hat tour takes guests into the abandoned south side of Ellis Island for an in-depth look at what the immigrants experienced when they arrived.
This Statue of Liberty guided tour starts in lower Manhattan and then departs for Liberty Island. The guests enter the Pedestal Museum at the Statue of Liberty. The tour then departs for the publicly accessible part of Ellis Island. After lunch the group enters the closed off and abandoned portion of the Island. Guests are required to wear closed form shoes, a hard hat and sign a waiver. No children under 13 are allowed.
