“The Taliban Love” – The Most Surreptitious Love Story Yet Told

A love story between two people that meet on the battlefield as enemies, but leave as lovers!

CLEVELAND, Ohio – January 25, 2016 – “The Taliban Love,” the most surreptitious love story yet, was recently announced by author Usman Rana. It’s about a strong love story between two people from different worlds, that meet on the battlefield as enemies, but leave as lovers.

Taliban are some of the most hated humans of all time. They’re known for their violent behavior, their extreme beliefs, and have manipulated religion for their own personal agenda. They are inhumane and vicious creatures who follow a barbaric lifestyle. They have no remorse for their ruthless acts. But, the question is, “Are all these people ferocious, or can one of them be different?”

Emily Colberz is a young soldier, who has recently joined the US Army and deployed off to Afghanistan. Her father was a great soldier but, unfortunately, he was killed by the Taliban during the war. Emily is set out to carry her father’s legacy, and to make sure that the Taliban pay for what they did. After her father’s death in Afghanistan, Emily gives up her typical life, and applies for the US army. Fate plays tricks. Emily follows her father’s steps off to another part of the world far from her house to Camp Leatherneck, Helmand province, Afghanistan. ISAF conducts massive military operations, destroying terrorist militia groups and poppy fields in Helmand and Kandahar almost every week. On February 2012, ISAF was conducting one of its most important missions when Emily’s squadron fell into one of the Taliban traps, killing all soldiers in the unit except Emily. Being heavily wounded, Emily survives the massacre. A Taliban rebel, Sabeeh Achkzai, finds her bleeding and almost on the edge of her death. In secret from his comrades in arms, he decides to hide and treat Emily. Unexpectedly, both of them develop strong feelings for each other. The enemies fall in love but, neither of them are aware of what is yet to come. A cruel and sanguinary war between the ISAF, and the Taliban rebels? But what would become of the true and all-powerful love between a US Army soldier, and a Taliban rebel? What will Emily and Sabeeh get in return? Eternal happiness or insidious death?

As ubiquitous as love can be, it’s nowhere to be found between Emily or Sabeeh. Love vanished far away from Emily’s heart after her father passed away. He was the only person that she lived for after her mother died from cancer. And Sabeeh, constantly fighting in hell day and night with the Taliban, would have never known that ‘love’ existed. Their lives were filled with hate, violence, misery, which altogether changed their perspective of life. It took away their feelings and emotions, leaving them with nothing but, an empty soul. Their only purpose in life was to survive but, not when fate played its part and united them under love. They felt awakened and so alive but, where would their love take them? The debut novel, “The Taliban Love” from Usman Rana is a stunning military drama of a boundless, contradictory, and powerful love between the two biggest enemies of all time based on actual events. The story takes you through two very different worlds that collide together and create the most surreptitious relationship of the century. However, before everyone enjoys this incredibly strong love story, Rana needs help. That’s why he launched this Kickstarter campaign. The goal of this project is to raise $10,000 by March 1, 2016. The funds raised will go towards editor fees, printing charges, outsourcing fees, and publishing charges.
