Johnnie Morris, owner and instructor at Aspire Martial Arts in El Cajon, California, tops Amazon.com best seller lists with his contribution to the new book BULLYPROOF: Unleash the Hero Inside Your Kid: Special Edition – ATA. This book features leaders and experts affiliated with the American Taekwondo Association (ATA), dedicated to empowering children and keeping them safe from the effects of bullying.

The new book topped the best-seller list on Amazon.com in Germany with #1 in School Age Children. It also hit best-seller lists in the US where it was ranked #3 in Kindle “Parenting: School Age Children” category, as well as #4 in Kindle “Social Sciences: Children’s Studies” and #7 in the overall “School Age Children” category.

BULLYPROOF: Unleash the Hero Inside Your Kid: Special Edition – ATA, is part of a new groundbreaking series designed to bring attention to the continuing problem of bullying, and the effectiveness of “Anti-Bully” programs currently in place.

“A lot of programs in schools today focus only on addressing the symptom of bullying, namely, what to do when you’re bullied,” says Alex Changho, co-editor of the book.  “What’s missing are any tools or practices to address the cause of bullying, like low self-esteem.  And on the other hand, helping individual kids become resilient from the effects of bullying – how to make them bully proof.”

This book series brings together experts from around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and India.  The contributing authors include business owners, martial arts professionals and behavioral coaches affiliated with the American Taekwondo Association (ATA).

Morris draws from his years of training students in martial arts to present his chapter in the BULLYPROOF book.  His mission of empowerment through martial arts has helped his own students become more confident and strong in El Cajon.

Morris joins a panel of leaders, including: Troy Auman, Alex Changho, Scott Hertzig, Erin Lauraine, Todd Besier, Elizabeth Cummings, James Degrechie, Michelle Degrechie, Mike Moh, Lisa Piper, Terri Strain and Michael Wegmann.

Morris is available for book signings, as well as speaking engagements on the topic of bullying.
