The Spirit of Zen: A Workshop on Zen Buddhist Meditation Announced

A Workshop and Community Gathering led by Roshi Lawson Sachter Co-hosted by the Clear Water Zen Center and Windhorse Zen Community

03 Feb, 2016 – Authentic Zen training is not easy, but we’re not living in easy times. Zen teaches that we can make a real difference – and that through changing our own hearts and minds, we change the lives of others.

Saturday, February 20th, 2016
10:00am to 3:00pm

Unitarian Universalist Church of Clearwater

This workshop will not only offer an introduction to traditional mindfulness, compassion, and inquiry-based practices, but it will also explore the ways these practices can relate both practically and psycho-dynamically to our lives. It will give participants a chance to discover what the Clear Water Zen Center has to offer; to meet our local teacher, Ken Rosen; and to talk with some of the like-minded people that form its community.

We hope you can join us!

Roshi Lawson Sachter is the Spiritual Director of the Clear Water Zen Center and co-abbot of Windhorse Zen Community located in Asheville, N.C. He is Zen priest, sanctioned Zen teacher, and licensed psychotherapist with over 45 years of dharma training.

Please note, because space is limited (and because lunch will be offered) we are asking people to pre-register. The suggested donation is $10 to $20, (more if possible, students and seniors less), but also, please register and join us even if you can’t help out financially. Walk-ins will be welcome if space is available.
