February 15, 2016 – TarotNav… a GPS for life. Imagine a GPS that helps you navigate through life, one that steers you quickly through personal and work situations so that you get the best out of life.
‘I’ll let you in on a secret,’ says Linda Marson, founder of Global Spiritual Studies. ‘It’s been around for centuries – it’s a deck of cards called the Tarot and I’ve decided it’s time to make the TarotNav GPS as common-place as Navman, Garmin or Tom Tom!’
Linda Marson has been a professional Tarot reader and teacher for more than 30 years. She is a past President of the Tarot Guild of Australia, author of Ticket, Passport and Tarot Cards and producer of an award-winning TV series based on the book.
‘I know from the response to both book and TV series that my approach to showing people how to use the Tarot in a practical way, works. When you consult the Tarot, you open a channel to your Higher Self, your intuition, the part of yourself that dwells beyond the everyday world and knows what you’re truly meant to be doing. In other words, you’re talking to yourself and that’s a good thing!’
Linda is on a mission to develop TarotNav. ‘For some time, I’ve wanted to bring my book, TV series and Tarot learning resources together into one neat package. TarotNav is it and I’m running a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds I need to produce it.’
TarotNav will comprise a film and e-book, supported by a private online discussion forum. In the film, she draws on stories from her own life to show how the energies of the 22 trump cards in the deck play out in real life. She calls home to her Higher Self with questions using a layout called the Self-Reflection Spread. Linda’s Higher Self will be an animated version of The Fool, the first card in the deck.
‘You learn the meaning of the cards in an easy, entertaining way through the conversations I have with my Higher Self. You also get to see some glorious scenery in exotic locations because the stories come from my years of travelling the world. Our conversations take place on Skype, so ‘she’s a tech-savvy, 21st century Fool!’ says Linda.
The e-book will contain simple meanings for all 78 cards in the deck, as well as a guide to laying out the cards to get directions for navigating through anything that life throws at you. There will also be sample readings that show you how to interpret the cards that come out in your own readings. You can see some of these layouts on the TarotNav Facebook page. The online discussion forum is a way for everyone who purchases TarotNav to exchange readings with others and to ask questions of Linda who will actively participate in the forum at set times during the year.
‘TarotNav has something for everyone,’ says Linda. ‘If you’re not familiar with Tarot, it will be a fun, easy way to see what it’s all about. If you’re already into Tarot, it’s a unique package of material well worth adding to your collection.’
Linda wants to raise $40,000 AUD by March 8 to cover animation and film production costs, writing of the e-book, copyright and other fees associated with running the campaign. The Kickstarter funding model is ‘all-or-nothing’. If pledges fall short of the target, no funding is provided and production of TarotNav does not proceed.
‘Crowd-funding is a wonderful way for creators to find the resources and funds they need to make their ideas a reality,’ says Linda.
Please visit the Kickstarter page and back the project. It’s an incredible opportunity to be part of a special campaign to produce something which will help people everywhere get the best out of life. Spread the word by sharing the link to the project on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. Let’s get a crowd of people all backing TarotNav!’
