Social Work Helper is proud to announce the launch of the #SocialWork campaign for World Social Work Day on March 15th 2016. On this global day of unity, Social Work Helper is asking social workers, children’s rights groups, and ally organizations working with children and families to tweet throughout the day using the hashtag #SocialWork
The goal of the campaign is to engage the global community and increase our efforts collaboratively on the global goals to help create sustainable societies and alleviate extreme poverty by 2030. Another goal of the campaign is to get the hashtag #socialwork to trend worldwide on Twitter, which has never been done before. Social Work Helper is a progressive digital publication and well-known leader providing news, information, and entertainment related to social issues, social good, and human rights.
Social Workers are the single factor that permeates through every spectrum affecting the human condition. Social workers are in hospitals, schools, social service agencies, care facilities, prisons, and police departments. Although they may not be using the title, social workers can be found holding positions in the government, private sector, nonprofits and even in Congress. As a result, Social Work Helper serves as a vital resource for those seeking information to access services or who may be looking for resources to help a loved one.
The campaign is asking for social workers and allies to tweet out your thoughts on the social work profession, resources, research, articles, and/or ideas for collaboration using the hashtag #socialwork
