Canadian-based physical therapist George Demirakos has announced the launch of his book, ‘Fix my shoulder’ which is a self-help guide to prevent and heal from shoulder injury and strain. His book has been launched on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback formats, Barnes and Noble as the publishing company Rowan and Littlefield.
Considering that shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body and that it is most prone to facing strain and injuries, Demirakos has developed this book using which the readers will be able to know in detail about the shoulder injuries and thus, be able to prevent and heal the same. The shoulder joint, being pretty flexible can move 360 degrees and in every way and that is why it requires special care.
As shoulder muscles are used for pushing, throwing, catching, pulling and other tasks regularly, it becomes overtaxed or fatigued resulting in strained or painful shoulders. The book is meant to guide the user in various methods through which they can prevent such injuries from happening and maintain healthier shoulder muscles.
The chances of shoulder pain increase as a person grows older as the body loses muscle and bone mass. If proper measures are taken at a younger age, the shoulder pain can be reduced or avoided at an older age. Pain is inevitable but Demirakos explains several ways in his book which can help to avoid the pain, with the help of simple exercises, treatments and other measures that can be done by everyone.
The book Fix My shoulder explains the anatomy of the shoulder and provides step by step methods of preventing pain and injury along with various treatments for healing that anyone can implement for better shoulder health and function.
