New York Creative Launches Kickstarter to Produce Psychological Thriller

One writer turns to the crowdfunding community to make this film a reality.

NEW YORK, NY – April 04, 2016 – Qi Xin has a strong career in advertising, but in his heart he yearns to produce films that captivate audiences. Since his years in film school, he has been working on a project called “Jean’s Minute of Arc.” This psychological thriller is based on a young lady who has fallen in love with her neighbor. To her surprise, her neighbor has been comforting her woes throughout the night, eliminating them one after another. The question remains, who is this neighbor the girl is so in love with? Also, what were her woes that she was comforting and how?

It’s time for the world to know more about this incredible story filled with surprise, suspense, and a lot more. To make this film a reality, Qi turned to the film-loving crowdfunding community. He launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $137,000 by May 23, 2016. Funds received will cover the entire film process from pre- to post-production expenses.

However, this project is also a movement against the #OscarsSoWhite issue surrounding Hollywood and the entertainment industry. A systematic hiring and recognition process, that’s been marginalized against people of color. Qi has pitched his idea and screenplay to countless directors, producers, agents and it has only received radio silence. If he can’t create this film with those he’s reached out to, then he will make it possible through an authentic alternative – Kickstarter.

Help Qi receive equal playing field in the film industry. Give him a chance to show his merit as a creative film writer! Click here to make a contribution to support this campaign. Backers can choose from a number of attractive rewards. Perks will be delivered approximately by September 2017.

Please keep in mind this is an “all-or-nothing” crowd funding deal. If the campaign does not reach the funding goal, then the project cannot move forward. So know that any amount given can make a difference. This is also an incredible opportunity to be a part of a special project! Help the campaign reach its goal by sharing this on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. The more people we can engage, the more support the campaign will receive.
