Augmented Publishing Group (APG) and real estate agent Andrea Steward have teamed up and begun a search for professionals to be included in their upcoming book project that will benefit the LAPD Communications Division Cadet Program.

The Los Angeles-based firm Augmented Publishing Group just announced the official launch of their search for professionals to be featured in the upcoming book, “Heroes Helping Heroes — How Public Servants Can Receive Money Back On Their Home Transactions and Retire Comfortably.”

Lisa Williams, the president of APG, confirmed that 911 operator and real estate agent Andrea Steward has signed on to head up the search team.

Williams stated, “We are thrilled to be able to attract the involvement of someone as respected as Ms. Steward for this important project. She has great passion and understanding of public servants, and is committed to providing benefits and resources to local heroes.”

A citywide search is currently being conducted for professionals such as mortgage lenders, estate planning attorneys, real estate attorneys, CPAs, marriage and family therapists, PTSD therapists, domestic violence experts, family law attorneys, substance abuse professionals and vacation specialists to round out the project.

Explaining her search process, Steward said, “I am looking forward to this project.  I’ll be reaching out to a select group of professionals whom I feel are true educators and advocates for the success of public servants (including law enforcement officers, firefighters, veterans and medical professionals), while at the same time committing to spread the word about a great cause.” Williams and Steward have pledged to donate 100 percent of the retail royalties to the LAPD Communications Division Cadet Program.

Scheduled for release in May, “Heroes Helping Heroes — How Public Servants Can Receive Money Back On Their Home Transactions and Retire Comfortably” will feature a chapter spotlighting each of the professionals selected from this search who will share their insights and tips, as well as bust the myths and misconceptions that are experienced by public service professionals.

Williams described the book as “a powerful resource for public servants to have; a book with advice from a group of professionals that specialize in and serve their community, and who understand the unique concerns and challenges they face. The book will cover topics from real estate and retirement to rest and rejuvenation.”

According to Williams, several industry leaders have already joined the project. She and Steward expect to make an announcement revealing the final selections by April 15th.

“We anticipate a lot of exposure around this project, for both the LAPD Communications Division Cadet Program and the people we select to be featured in the book. We really want to showcase those professionals who are actually in the trenches, working hard every day and who are willing to share that experience to benefit a great cause and the success of public servants. That’s what will make this a win-win project.”
