The AVBot is a new audio visual management app for Slack. Aimed to increase transparency and organization of audio visual resources the AVBot is a free application for Slack teams.

Philadelphia, PA – Today ConferenceRoomSystems.com announces the release of, the AVBot.io, a free application for Slack. The AVBot is a real time room management engine designed to organize audio visual resources for teams using Slack. Slack is the industry’s fastest growing team communications software helping teams collaborate and work efficiently online. The AVBot aims to increase transparency for office resources and improve support for meeting room technology.

The AVBot was designed by the self proclaimed “AV Geeks” at ConferenceRoomSystems.com to solve a core problem for audio visual managers. “The AVBot started as an internal tool for our team to manage various projects which are commonly centered around a single room. Each room needed to have resources, equipment and requirements that were easily searchable.” explained Paul Richards, Director of Business Development. “Since our team uses Slack it was a natural fit. The system provides easy access to project details and replaces our old paper filing system. Once the solution was fully built, we decided to release it to the world as a free Slack App.”

The AVBot leverages Slack’s “slash command” which is an innovative way to access shortcuts in the application. If a user wants to see a quick list of rooms available to the team they simply type in “/avbot list rooms”. They can then drill down into more detail by running a real-time report on a given room by typing in “/avbot report ZoomRoom”. “We tried our best to simplify the user experience with simple, easy to remember commands” notes Richards. “Our recent test show it takes 5-10 minutes until an average user is comfortable using the AVBot.”

Don’t have Slack? Slack has a free option for small teams!
