The Cibo Placemat Expands the Brand to Help Seniors Gain Back Their Dignity

The children collection will release more fun characters like pigs, cows, etc.

Los Angeles, California – April 18, 2016 – The Cibo “Crumb Catching” Placemat is a revolutionary tool that makes it easier to clean up messy eaters. Originally, this product was ideal for children. Now Amy Chandler, creator of this innovative solution, wants to expand the brand to produce senior placemats for the elderly. She also plans to add more adorable characters to the children’s collection. To create the designs for the new characters and release the senior collection, Amy launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $5,000 by May 12, 2016.

Through the years, Chandler has witnessed many family members struggle to eat because of numbness or simple loss of basic motor skills from Alzheimer’s, dementia, strokes, and other ailments that make it difficult to eat. This limited mobility creates a big mess during meal times. Most caregivers use adult bibs to make it easier to clean up after a messy eater, but this jeopardizes the individual’s dignity.

“I believe that no matter how old or sick someone is, their dignity should always be protected. Adults should not have to wear bibs. Period. With The Cibo Placemat, dignity is restored.” ~ Amy Chandler, Founder of The Cibo Placemat
