Vehicle History, a company launched last year to provide consumers with information about used cars before they buy them, has now launched an official Twitter feed, representatives announced yesterday.The company’s goal is to use social media to better connect with consumers.
“For the past year we’ve been building up our products and services,” said Vanessa Hernandez, a spokeswoman for Vehicle History. “Now it is time for us to start reaching out to consumers and actively interacting with them. We believe that Twitter currently represents the best way to do so.”
The company’s official Twitter feed is currently active and being updated on a regular basis.
“We think that Twitter is a great way for us to communicate with consumers, who often use Twitter to search for and read information on the go,” she said. “We can let them know what we are up to and about new services we are offering. They can tweet at us with any questions, concerns or feedback they may have. We feel that it is a perfect way to start an ongoing conversation with our users.”
The Twitter feed will contain articles about information in the news that may be of interest to their customers, links to Vehicle History blog posts, special offers, services and other items of interest, she said.
“Social media is the future of consumer interaction,” she said. “Gone are the days when customer support was just a phone bank. Today people want to communicate directly online, and our Twitter feed will allow them to do that.”
Vehicle History is also in the process of launching other social media channels in the near future.
“This is an ongoing customer service effort to reach out to consumers,” she said.
