The “Garden Gala” raised funds for HealthCorps to continue its steadfast mission of educating youth about the dangers of childhood obesity and how to both overcome and prevent this deadly epidemic with physical fitness, nutrition and mental resilience education. Funding from this event goes directly to the continued expansion of HealthCorps’ groundbreaking, in-school Health Education programming, including the highly successful HealthCorps University, the organization’s professional development program that bring its curriculum to virtually any school or community in the United States.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, HealthCorps Chairman, renowned cardiothoracic surgeon and four-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning host of the “The Dr. Oz Show,” and his wife Lisa Oz co-hosted the Gala.
