The PT-JOY has a MAP price of $649 and adds much needed joystick control for today’s “IP Workflow” deployments.
“PTZOptics has always offered a traditional RS-232 analog joystick controller for $299 for customers looking for fine tuned 3D joystick control.” says Director of Business Development Paul Richards. “Traditional RS-232 is still the ideal connection for mobile and on-the-go broadcast system that do not have a network in place… But we have found most installation already have a network and customers are expecting end-to-end IP workflows. ” PTZOptics new IP Joystick has a network search button which will retrieve all PTZOptics cameras connected to the local area network. Once the list is retrieved users can select the camera they which to control and the joystick will provide intuitive PTZ movements over the network.
“Current customers should know that to use the IP Joystick a firmware upgrade will be necessary” lead support technician Andy Chatfield mentions “…we have recently published instructional videos for the simple upgrade process.”
