London, Canada – June 7, 2016 – 2Players Animation Inc. is announcing the launch of their new animated series, WiiR Heroes. The show is a YouTube parody that combines the innocence and nostalgia of childhood video game heroes with the contemporary action-packed killers of the most popular games today. A Kickstarter campaign was launched to raise $30,000 CAD by June 26, 2016. Funds raised will be used to produce this episodic series by hiring animators, script writers, video editors, music producers, voice actors and much more.
2Players Animation teams mission is to push the limits of animation and video game reference creating a powerful and lasting retro feeling of epicocity. An example of the wild cross-overs would be: Nathan Drake from Uncharted and Marcus Fenix from Gears of War go on an adventure, together shooting their way through an army of koopas, goombas, thwamps, and chain chomps in Mario’s Mushroom Kingdom.
With 75 episodes divided into three seasons already sketched out and ten shows that are entirely scripted and storyboarded, WiiR Heroes is primed for its debut. There is an overarching storyline, with new characters introduced every season. A string of hilarious adventures, plot twists and increasingly tangled mysteries will fulfill every nerdy fantasy that gamers have dreamt about.
The creators need the help of the community to turn this dream mash-up into a reality. Stretch goals will help this incredibly talented team release the full line-up of episodes for fans to enjoy.
