RICHMOND,VA – 16 June, 2016 – The Good Feet Store in Richmond salutes our military service members. To express our appreciation we are partnering with the Richmond Flying Squirrels to make a donation to T.A.P.S every time a Flying Squirrel batter is walked from the start of the season until June 13th. On June 14th, (which is Flag Day and the birthday of the U.S. Army), a group of approximately 35 surviving military families will join us for the Richmond Flying Squirrels vs. Binghamton Mets game. There will be an on-field presentation, recognition of the families, and a large American flag will be unfurled and held by the families while the National Anthem is being sung. We invite you to come to the game, visit with these families, and show them the appreciation they deserve for the tremendous sacrifices they have made.
The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) offers compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a loved one serving in our Armed Forces. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones.
The Good Feet Sore helps our customers enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle by minimizing or even eliminating foot, joint, and back pain. Our store in Short Pump regularly serves the needs of current and former military members. We are glad to say thanks by supporting such a great organization as T.A.P.S.
