Dignity Health Foundation East Valley and Tempe ballroom company, Arizona Ballroom Champions, are proud to announce the team of Charles Schwab participating in this year’s “Dancing For Stroke” event.
The black-tie event, which takes place on October 1, 2016, will once again be held at the Sheraton Grand at the Wild Horse Pass. The evening is one full of dance competition and dance showcases all in the name of raising funds for stroke research. The “Dancing with the Stars” inspired event will give ten doctors, nurses and hospital staff the opportunity to train with professional ballroom instructors to perfect a dance routine of their choice which they will perform for judges and the audience. At the end of the evening, not only will a winner be named, but the real win will hopefully be in the battle of stroke cure and research.
In addition to the October event, the members of the Charles Schwab team will be showcasing their talents in a similar showcase at their Scottsdale campus. During the showcase they will be taking a spin on an in-house dance floor, hoping to garner more support for the cause and their 25-thousand-dollar goal.
Dignity Health Foundation East Valley hopes that more and more organizations will follow in Charles Schwab’s lead and take part in similar types of events. Businesses wanting to put on similar events can reach out to Dignity Health Foundation of the East Valley who will get them started, introduce them to the teachers at Arizona Ballroom Champions and they can get to “steppin.”
“Not only are these events fun for those participating but they are a great way to raise funds for our cause,” says Rex Albright with Dignity Health East Valley Foundation. “We hope that when people see the fun these contestants are having and the smile on their faces will inspire other big name corporations to also step up to the plate.”
Ticket packages can be purchased at the Dancing for Stroke website including this year’s new package which includes two tickets, an overnight stay at the Sheraton Wildhorse Pass Resort & Spa and breakfast.
