Los Gatos, California – June 28, 2016 – Shy Snake, a video game company, launched a campaign seeking community support to raise $150,000 by August 20, 2016, for their tactical squad RPG, Spy DNA. The game combines turn-based mechanics with realistic combat simulation. Players command a small team of super-spies who fight to preserve our way of life and stop those who want to destroy it. Funds received will help complete development of the game.
Spy DNA is set in 2075 as an optimistic version of the future. It’s not a dystopian world, and humanity is not only surviving but making progress. The game’s main character joins a secret project run by the Crolimax Laboratory. Founders of the project have invented a way to enhance living humans genetically turning them into super-spies. When the genetic enhancement research is stolen from the lab, it’s the main character’s job to recover it and to prevent a rogue nation from creating an army of super-soldiers.
Players can create and enhance super-spy characters to match play-style. One to four characters can be available for control depending on the mission category which range from recon to low or high-intensity combat. What sets Spy DNA apart from most tactical games is the development team’s uncompromising focus on creating a realistic and believable combat environment.
The Shy Snake team are experienced in programming and creating an immersive story and in-game world. Where they need help is all the creative work that bring the game to life.
Funds will be used to pay for the following:
- Motion capture for character animation
- Voice acting
- 3D models and textures
- Royalty-free music
- Sound effects
- Software and tools such as Autodesk Maya, Motion Builder, 3DS Max, SpeedTree, and much more
