Linbeck Group, a technology-driven building construction firm, has been honored with three Associated General Contractors – Texas Building Branch (AGCTBB) Outstanding Construction Awards. The firm received the Design Build 2 Award ($10M – 30M) for Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine; the Healthcare 2 Award ($10M – 30M) for Kelsey-Seybold Main Campus Expansion; and the Interior Finish Out 4 Award (over $5M) for Johnson & Johnson’s JLABS Incubator at Texas Medical Center.

Accepting the awards at the AGC Texas Building Branch 2016 Convention on behalf of Linbeck Group were John Barnes, senior vice president and William H. Scott, executive vice president.
AGCTBB, located in Austin, is a liaison between the construction industry and state agencies affecting the industry. Its Outstanding Construction Awards showcase design-build best practices and celebrate the achievements of design-build teams in multiple categories across the spectrum of vertical construction in Texas.
Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is a state-of-the-art facility with office and patient care space for board-certified and fellowship-trained physicians and surgeons, along with dedicated areas for physical and occupational therapy. The facility includes an indoor batting cage and golf net; an indoor pool with built-in treadmill for aquatic therapy; and an outdoor 20 x 40 yard turf-training field for athletes recovering from injury.
Kelsey-Seybold Main Campus underwent a $30 million expansion and renovation that enhances patient care and additional services for those seeking comprehensive, coordinated cancer treatment.
JLABS @ TMC is an innovative collaborative lab environment that allows biomedical startups to perform proprietary research to support new discoveries.The 35,000-square-foot space can support up to 50 startup companies which can tap into the resources of Johnson & Johnson Innovation’s R&D experts as well as take advantage of commercialization curriculum and networking events.
