Paul Hendriks, formally one of Australia’s most renowned Fly Fishing Guides & Instructor – now more commonly known as “The Journeyman,” intends to live up to his nickname by making a 4,580 km journey across the country in his 1979 F100 4×4 Dent Side Ute with his companion Lady Louise as well as their rescue dogs Lexi and Rose. Not only does Hendriks intend to start at the southernmost point on the continent, Wilson’s Promontory, and drive inland to the northernmost point, Cape York Peninsular up along the Old Telegraph Track, but also he intends to film the journey as “Across Australia.”
Hendriks has already proven himself a worthy Outdoorsman with a passion for filming the beautiful Outback of Australia. Having traveled the Back Roads and Outback Tracks of some of the country’s most inhospitable regions for almost 40 years, Paul Hendriks has earned the appellation “The Journeyman”. He has already two journeys circumnavigating the continent, & crossing the Dry Desert Centre.
Even with his vast experience and indomitable spirit, the many challenges of making “Across Australia” are still significant. Paul & Louise will film & record the journey entirely themselves, and he promises to complete his journey even if he has to work along the way to pay for it. The bare bones expenses for the entire journey top $20,333 and will cover fuel, camping fees, food, truck repairs & filming.
Although Paul is entirely willing to earn the money for all of these expenses, he hopes that you will help support this Audacious Adventure by donating to his Indiegogo campaign. In return for your generous donation, you can receive perks like post cards, memorialization on the ‘Funders Wall of Fame’, video thanks, Gunshot & Jardine River video, face-to-face meeting with Paul Hendriks, or a camping trip with Paul Hendriks.
