CINCINNATI, OHIO – July 11th, 2016 – Hometown Urgent Care, Ohio’s largest urgent care system, is now a registered provider and offering discounted vaccinations to children through the Vaccines for Children Program (VFC) at its Colerain clinic at 8459 Colerain Avenue in Cincinnati. The program is funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The service caters to parents or guardians who may not be able to afford the option to vaccinate their children. The Hometown clinic is also open 7-days a week and no appointment is necessary for the vaccinations.
According to the CDC, vaccinations protect babies, young children and adolescents from the following diseases: Chickenpox, Mumps, Diphtheria, Polio, Influenza, Pneumococcal, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Rotavirus, Rubella, Hib, Tetanus, Measles, Whooping Cough, HPV, Meningococcal, and Tdap.
“For Colerain residents, this provides a viable option for all children to receive their recommended vaccinations on schedule,” said Dr. Narinder Saini, Chief Medical Director for Hometown Urgent Care. “For Hometown, it provides a new opportunity to give back to the community and assure that we are providing affordable healthcare.”
Hometown Urgent Care of Colerain is a newer clinic having opened its doors in 2015 and has been actively involved with gratuitous support to the community. Most notably free flu shot clinics and free sport physicals for student athletics.
The Cincinnati Regional Director for Hometown, Brandon Borders, has been a strong advocate for community engagement and plans to continue Hometown’s mission for quality care. “We want the community to know Hometown is place they can trust for all their urgent care needs. Our new Vaccines for Children Program will exemplify our commitment to bettering the health of our community.”
Hometown Urgent Care of Colerain is open from 9am-7pm, Monday – Friday and 9am-5pm on Saturday-Sunday.
