The team at Around Iowa is thrilled to announce the official launch of their brand new Iowa Android app. Around Iowa Weather & Places is now available exclusively for Android devices.
Through the new app, users get instant access to take photos and share their favorite Iowa scenes and weather with creative overlays on their images.
According to the Around Iowa team, “This app has been in the works for quite some time, and we have a few others in the pipeline as well. This is a fun app that we hope can help bring our state together through pictures from locations around Iowa.”
“We love Iowa and we love technology, and we hope to continue to bring our communities across the state together and keep them growing. We had to make the difficult decision of launching on Google Play first simply because our traffic stats showed the use of more Android Devices than iOS devices. For the record, I am still an Apple fan, I still use an iPhone as my primary device, and all my computers are Macs. Rest assured we will release apps for the iOS platform equally, it is just going to take some more time,” said Julio Medina, founder of Around Iowa.
At Around Iowa, Medina has cultivated an alternative media source where Iowa residents and visitors can learn all about Iowa while getting the latest news, weather, user submitted images, and more. The site has been voted as the best online community in Iowa, and it has been recognized as Iowa’s fastest growing online website and community.
With Around Iowa Weather & Places, users can set their location and snap photos of their surroundings and weather conditions. Then, they can choose from 11 skins to frame their photo before sharing with other users.
Around Iowa Weather & Places is rated E for everyone and can be downloaded for free. More information can be found at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aroundiowaweatherpics.
