Quintessential Hollywood Tough Guy Actor, Star of Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs, Donnie Brasco, and countless other films – Actor Michael Madsen has joined the cast of The Garden Left Behind, an upcoming feature film from award-winning director Flavio Alves. Madsen will play Kevin, a New York City bartender who works to help an undocumented, transgender immigrant overcome her socio-economic struggles.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Madsen comes to The Garden Left Behind after recently starring in Quentin Tarantino’s Academy Award-winning film, The Hateful Eight. He looks forward to working with Flavio Alves.
Having received international acclaim for “The Secret Friend” and “Tom in America,” Brazilian filmmaker Flavio Alves is directing from a script written by himself and John Rotondo.
“I’m grateful and excited to work with an experienced talent like Mr. Madsen,” comments Alves. “I can’t wait to see him breath life into this character.”

The Garden Left Behind begins shooting in September, with locations around New York City.
